What we collect

• Account details. Your name, email address and the school associated with your email domain.
• Practice activity. The questions you were shown, the answers you gave, whether they were right, how long each rep took, and the ratings and streaks calculated from that.
• Things you write. Discussion posts and written practice responses.
• Basic technical data. The information any web service receives, such as request timestamps, needed to keep the platform running and secure.

Why we collect it

Practice data is what makes the adaptive engine work. Without a record of what you got wrong, there is no way to send it back to you until it sticks, and no way to weight your weaker topics. Account details identify you and place you on your school leaderboard.

Who can see what

Your individual performance data is private to you. Row level security is enforced in the database itself, not just in the application, so a request for someone else's session history is rejected at the data layer.

Your display name, school, rating and XP appear on leaderboards visible to other signed in users. You can change your display name in settings at any time.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not run third party advertising trackers.
• We do not share your individual answers with your school.

Retention

Practice history is kept while your account is active because it is what the engine reads. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your profile and the activity tied to it, other than anything we are required to keep.

Your choices

You can request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion. Contact us through the address in the app footer and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Where data lives

Tickmark runs on managed infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Passwords are stored as salted hashes and are never visible to us.
